🎭 Improv Bible

📖 About Improv Bible

Why a bible, and who is behind it.

Why “bible”

We called it a bible because we wanted there to be nothing left to look for elsewhere. Not out of piety — out of stubbornness. An improviser shouldn't have to keep six tabs open: a games list here, a troupe's Facebook page there, a festival calendar somewhere else, and a group chat to find a partner for Thursday. One book. Everything in it.

What's in it

The games — sheets you can filter, favourite and drop straight into a session. The troupes — a directory and a world map, with their shows and their courses. The people — improvisers who chose to be visible, and a way to write to them. The tools — a show generator, a course planner, a stage timer. And what we read: books, podcasts, articles.

Free, and why that holds

Everything here is free, and stays free. The site is funded by Amazon affiliate links on books we'd recommend anyway — you pay the same price, we get a small commission. No ads, no paywall, no data sold. If that ever stops being enough, we'll say so out loud rather than quietly close a door.

Who

Improv Bible is built in Caen, France, by Appventura — and by the improvisers who propose games, review them, and correct us. Found a mistake, a missing game, a troupe we don't know? Write to us.
