Terms of use

Every game, every article, every tool is free to read and use, forever, with or without an account. An account only unlocks *doing*: saving favourites, building courses, planning shows, joining a troupe.

When you propose a suggestion, a video link or a game, you keep your rights to it but grant us the right to publish it on the platform, in any language. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.

Everything proposed is reviewed before it goes live. We may refuse or remove anything off-topic, hateful, discriminatory, sexual, commercial spam, or that endangers anyone.

Improv runs on trust. Be the kind of person you would want in your scene: assume the best of others, do not humiliate anyone, do not use the platform to harass. Repeated abuse costs you your account.

Messaging exists so that improvisers can find each other, not so that they can be pestered. You can block anyone, and report a message. A reported message is read by a moderator — that is the only way a report can be judged.

Harassment, spam, unsolicited advertising or endangering someone costs the account: it is suspended, sends no more messages and leaves the directory. We would rather lose a user than lose the person they were bothering.

When you invite someone by email, the invitation goes out in your name. Only invite people who will be glad to hear from you: an invitation nobody wanted is spam, and it is your name on it.

To make the directory useful from day one, we listed troupes from what they publish themselves — name, city, official site — and said so on each page. If it is your troupe: claim the page and it becomes yours. If you want it gone: say so, and it goes. We do not negotiate that.

When a video or podcast appears on Improv Bible, we embed it — we never copy or re-host it. It plays straight from YouTube or the show's own feed, so views and plays count for the creator, and we always credit the troupe and link back to them. We only show what a creator has left publicly available and embeddable.

If you hold the rights and want it taken down: tell us — through the “Report a problem” link on the page, or by writing to us — and we remove it promptly, within a few days, without asking you to justify yourself. The same goes for a troupe that would simply rather not appear.

A troupe that publishes a show is responsible for it: the information it gives, the event itself, its audience. We are a technical intermediary, not the organiser.

The service is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it up and to keep your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never break. Back up what matters to you.
