Improv Chain Murder Mystery
Like a physical game of telephone. Player 1 is shown a profession, a location and a weapon. They mime and gibberish all three to player 2, who has just entered blind. Player 2 passes their best understanding to player 3, and 3 to 4. The last player watches, then guesses all three — usually hilariously far from the truth. It's mime, commitment and escalating misunderstanding rolled together. Each passer must play what they think they saw with total conviction, and the distortions compound down the chain. It teaches bold physical clarity and the comedy of confident wrongness — and it's a guaranteed audience favourite.
🎓 Tips
Big, clear mime beats clever mime. Coach each passer to commit fully to a few strong images rather than cram in detail. The distortion is the comedy, so never correct a passer. Whatever they think they saw is exactly what they pass on. Pick a vivid, mimeable trio. "Lion tamer, submarine, chainsaw" plays — "consultant, office, stapler" doesn't.
