Improv Bible

Papers

ShortformIntermediate2-3 players10 minTime this
StoryAudience

Before the show, the audience writes lines of dialogue on slips of paper, which are scattered on the stage. Improvisers start a scene, but from time to time pick a paper on the floor and reads the line out loud. The key is to justify the line, even if it has nothing to do with the story.

🎓 Tips

Pick up a slip at a real story moment, not at random. The justification is funniest when the line lands somewhere it seems impossible. Read it fully committed, then justify. Owning it is the whole trick. Don't pick too many papers too quickly
